TRANSCENDED BEAUTY

Tracing over one of my mum's art patterns, I resolve to Listen for her love & wisdom. In co-creating in this way, she has gone nowhere & is closer than my breath. The joy comes in  realising that when we turn towards our suffering, stay grounded & in touch with our hurting places, grief moves & we are sustained by a Greater Story & the knowing that we are in fact in fellowship with all of humanity.

  The title draws inspiration from St Teresa of Avila & her description of the human soul being like a butterfly emerging from its cocoon, on tattered wings. This has been a labour of love for me on the sacredness of being broken open & the vulnerability of imperfection & somehow coming to rest in the authenticity of ourselves, exactly as we are. I am discovering, it is through this transformation that we may experience the intimacy of being loved ‘through & through & through & through’ (Thank you James Finley, CAC).
